Beginner Mission Part 1: First City Lessons

Learn the starting-city services, reach the first level gates, and complete the party lesson.

Levels 1 to 8. The route pauses at levels 4, 6, and 8.

Story

The Pioneer Counsellor introduces the people and systems you will use in every city. The route moves from shops to combat guidance, inns, escorts, and the first party lesson.

Route

1Speak with the Pioneer Counsellor in your starting city. Choose “No, I just come to visit” to accept the Beginner Mission.
2Use the minimap in your starting city to visit the Weapon Dealer.
3Visit the Man Boutique Dealer or Ladies Boutique Dealer shown for your character.
4Visit the Accessory Dealer, Apothecary's Owner, and Grocery Storekeeper, then return to the Pioneer Counsellor.
5Reach level 4. Speak with the City Gate Guard, then the Martial Art Instructor, and return to the Pioneer Counsellor.
6Reach level 6. Speak with the Grand Inn Owner, then the Escort Guard, and return to the Pioneer Counsellor.
7Create or join a party and speak with the Pioneer Counsellor. With two or more party members, choose “Yes.” With a one-person party, choose “I have not found the right person yet.”
8Reach level 8 and return to the Pioneer Counsellor to begin the school lesson.

Rewards

Completing the early lessons with a one-person party awards 1,148 EXP, 650 Silver, 52 reputation, a starter weapon, character-appropriate clothing and an accessory, 20 Small Healing Potions, and 2 Level 1 Identify Scrolls.
With two or more party members at the friendship lesson, each member receives 100 additional EXP and one equipment reward. The initiating player also receives character-appropriate clothing.

If Progress Stops

Choose “No, I just come to visit” when the Pioneer Counsellor first asks why you came. “Yes.” opens general help and does not start the mission.
At the friendship lesson, create a party even if you are playing alone. With a one-person party, choose “I have not found the right person yet.”
If the Pioneer Counsellor does not continue, reach level 4 after the shops, level 6 after the first combat lesson, or level 8 after the inn and escort lesson.
